Beauty After Beauty Launches -- with One Page
October 10, 2016

Hello All --

Thanks to the continuing support of readers, it makes sense to continue evolving Fashion After 50. In the meantime, I have a blog my efforts to change my life at The Doberman Project.

FASHION TIP

Boots, baby, boots.

This is the year of the boot. Boots for gals whose legs stretch to the sky, and ankle boots with chunky heels for those who don’t. Rugged boots and city boots, cowboy boots and mountain boots, rain boots and riding boots.

I love most of these looks, and there's barely a chance there will be weather in Florida for any of them. Women do it to make a fashion statement. It never gets so cold I really need them this far south.

My cousin wants embroidered cowgirl boots, but many of them have pointed toes. My family have rounded feet. A student brought in her treasured Western dancing boots as part of her speech of self-introduction. Well used and even more beautiful for it.
Fringed Boots

I love this fall's fringed Winter fashion boots, which range from ankle fringes to knee high styles layers of the swinging fun stuff.

Another plus of the new styles are stretch inserts. This is a boon for women who complained of standard sizes being too wide or too narrow for their calves.

It also saves on the use of leather, for the benefit of the planet’s living beings. Leather is expensive, and the taller the boot, the higher the price, in general.

If you love boots, this is your Fall. Take advantage of sales and strut your stuff. In boots.

In Loving Memory of My Mother, Helen Sefcovic, designer and seamstress extraordinaire. She inspired my interest in fashion and was born this day in 1926. Our path wasn't always easy, and I miss her a lot.

Disclosure: Fashion After 50 earns a commission when readers purchase from retailers or buy products featured in the newsletter and on the website. The site has affiliate agreements with retailers I trust, but I cannot guarantee you will be satisfied with every purchase; that is between you and the store. I feature fashion products because I like them.
